Transport

Sokndal is located between the towns of Flekkefjord and Egersund along Fv. 44 / Nordsjøvegen.

Distances: Stavanger 110 km, Kristiansand 150 km, Flekkefjord 40 km and Egersund (train station) 30 km. Stavanger Airport Sola 100 km.

If you come by car from the west: Follow sign from E39 at Krossmoen to Sokndal. Follow the signs through Egersund to Sokndal – with the municipal center Sokndal.

If you come by car from the east: Follow sign from E39 in Flekkefjord to Sokndal. Follow the signs through Flekkefjord and further along Fv. 44 / Nordsjøvegen. You first come to Åna-Sira, then Jøssingfjord, before you get to the municipal center Hauge in Dalane.

If you arrive with boat: We have two beautiful guest harbors; one in Rekefjord and one on Sogndalstrand.

If you want to travel with bus: From Sokndal you can travel with E90 bus to Egersund, Vikeså, Ålgård, Sandnes and Stavanger. If you are traveling south towards Flekkefjord, you can travel with 89 bus that goes to Flekkefjord bus station.

If you take the trip along the Nordsjøvegen (EN: North Sea Road), you will be left with a great variety of experiences, both adults and children. The nature is overwhelmingly beautiful so it is worth setting aside some time and enjoying the moments along the way.
